 Yellowstone is the only place bison have lived continuously since prehistoric time with approximately 5,000 head, making it the largest free range herd. Hunting wild bison in Wyoming is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Sportsmen cannot purchase preference points for the hunt, the draw is random.
